I spent several hours yesterday trying to configure a nuclear reactor. The reactor works fine and is capable of producing quite a lot of power. However, the boiler and turbine combination seems very weak. I tried everything from arranging turbines in series and parallel to using multiple boilers, high temp. steam, high pressure in the boilers etc.

Thanks for all answers, the idea was to install the power plant in a submarine later on but it seems imposible to build a compact one which provides enough power without exploids. Depends on what you mean with enough power. Maxing out a medium motor requires around 3000 generator output, which you can get for 110 coal per hour from a single
If you need a lot of power/torque i would try to get into modular engines. For the same relative engine size you can significantly increase your torque and power output. Whether you''re looking to power a small home, or an entire continent, the Ultra Compact Infinity Generator is the perfect solution for all your energy needs. How to Install: It comes with a button and a built-in battery, all you have to do is merge it with your vehicle, hook up the electricity and press the button on the assembly
edit: and one more thing: the power output of steam stuff is pretty low compared to the weight. i would recommend driving a shaft directly or at least use the large generator for better efficiency. and avoid variable fluid valves before the turbines. they might be a very good power output control mechanism, but they cost you perhaps 10% of your

Southern Company is a gas and electric utility, which owns the Gaston plant via subsidiary Alabama Power, while Storworks is the provider of the concrete thermal energy storage project used in the project. More than 80 energy charge and discharge cycles on the project were successfully performed, with over 700 hours of total operation.
I have 4 Large Diesel engines connected 3:1 to a large generator outputting >2200 units of electricity, and it''s not enough to power a large electric motor connected directly to a giant prop, and that''s with the engines running at
Storworks Power (Storworks), and . RedoxBlox. 1. It aims to provide highlights on the technological processes, performance and cost metrics, and potential viability as demonstrated through field work of these emerging energy storage sol utions.
The project received funding from the U.S. Department of Energy and the technology has been developed by Storworks. According to EPRI, the technology can be applied to existing or new thermal power plants, including coal, natural gas, nuclear, or

The company''s main service involves providing reliable long-duration energy storage at a low cost, utilizing proprietary high-temperature modular concrete blocks to store heat.
Does the clutch have power? Post a link to the build and someone can check it out for you. Edit: check your flywheel. One side is meant to mate up to it''s respective crankshaft block, the other is a pipe connection. Just like a real engine the flywheel goes on the crank and the clutch follows that. There''s your power delivery issue.
I know this topic has been covered extensively but I''m still unable to generate enough power to sustain the system. My setup is simple. I have one large engine connected to a backwards 3:1 large gearbox powering my three propellers. I have two medium engines each running one medium generator with two small 1:3 gearboxes between. This setup will not keep
Storworks Power (Storworks) develops systems to store energy using heat, focusing on thermal power plants. Stackable blocks made of concrete material store the heat. Charging occurs by passing either hot gas, steam or hot air through steel tubes in the concrete blocks. To use the stored energy, a fluid such as water or carbon dioxide is passed
@ all, sweet input ansd response thanks :) i agreed, that for apps where piping is easy diesel mechanical all the way, personally cos i suck at the deep logics, i only use the one gear box, saves a bit of power loss i guess haha. my above question was with regards to a velocicopter im making, so using elec. has been way easier but deffo with larger applications

There is also a theoretical method with wheels. One can hold the rps of an engine at full throttle with just the right amount of braking. Multiply the rps with the braking and you should have something like power and you can do that for each and every rps.
Hello, Does anyone know an approximation for how much power each size of electric motor outputs. I want to know because I''m building an electric boat and wan''t to make sure I''m not wasting any power from the motors to the props. Currently I''m using two large motors and 2 large props (the ones that requires 100,000 power). Additionally, if anyone knows how
